Building a Keyhole Garden
Keyhole Gardens are named for their keyhole shape when you look down on them from above. They were developed by mission workers in Africa as a sustainable, year round garden to help feed families with fresh produce despite drought and poor growing conditions. These pictures were taken at the first of three sessions describing how to build keyhole gardens that was held in West on Saturday, October 10th. Once all three sessions have been completed, the pictures will be put into a presentation similar to the one on building a worm bin and an article with instructions will be posted. If you are interested in attending, Sessions 2 and 3 will be held on Saturday October 17 and 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Session 2 will discuss filling the keyhole garden and session 3 will deal with planting the garden.
